बसन्त पंचमी को पर्व के रूप में मनाये जाने का कारण:-
1.वंसत पंचमी माता सरस्वती का प्रकाट्य (प्रकट), होने का दिवस है। अतः इस दिन मां सरस्वती की पूजा-अर्चना की जाती है।
2. इसी दिन कामदेव तथा देवी रति के भी प्रकट होने का दिन है।
3. रितुओ के राजा वसंत के आगमन पर नई फसलों के आने की खुशी के लिए भी यह त्योहार मनाया जाता है।
बसन्त पंचमी पर माता सरस्वती का प्रकाट्य तथा स्वरूप:-
वंसत पंचमी माता सरस्वती का प्रकाट्य ( प्रकट ), होने का दिवस है, ब्रह्मा जी को सृष्टि के सृजन के बाद चहुं ओर सन्नाटा, निशब्द तथा उदासी प्रतीत हुई तो उन्होने अपने कमंडल से जल छिडककर माता सरस्वती को जगत को विद्या, बुद्धि, कला, ज्ञान-विज्ञान तथा संगीत के द्वारा आलोकित करने के लिए प्रकट किया।
धर्म ग्रंथों के अनुसार वाग्देवी सरस्वती देवी, ब्रह्म स्वरूपा, कामधेनु तथा समस्त देवो की प्रतिनिधि है। ये ही विद्या, बुद्धि, ज्ञान, विज्ञान, कला और संगीत की देवी है, इन्ही अमित तेजस्वनी व अनंत गुणशालिनी देवी सरस्वती की पूजा-आराधना के लिए माघ मास की पंचमी तिथि निर्धारित की गई है। बसन्त पंचमी को इनका आविर्भाव दिवस माना जाता है। अतः वागेश्वरी जयंती व श्री पंचमी के नाम से भी यह तिथि जानी जाती है ।

कामसखा बसन्त तथा प्रेम के देवता कामदेव का जन्म दिवस है बसन्त पंचमी
हिन्दू धर्मग्रंथों में कामदेव को काम, प्रेम और आकर्षण का देवता कहा जाता है। पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार कामदेव भगवान विष्णु और देवी लक्ष्मी के पुत्र हैं। उनका विवाह रति नाम की देवी से हुआ था, जो प्रेम और आकर्षण की देवी मानी जाती है। एक अन्य मत के अनुसार कामदेव ब्रह्माजी के पुत्र हैं, तथा इनका संबंध भगवान शिव से भी है। कुछ जगह पर धर्म की पत्नी श्रद्धा से इनका आविर्भाव हुआ माना जाता है।
कामदेव का रूप:- धर्मग्रंथों मे कामदेव को सुनहरे पंखों से युक्त एक सुंदर नवयुवक की तरह दर्शाया गया है जिनके हाथ में धनुष और बाण हैं। ये तोते के रथ पर मकर (एक प्रकार की मछली) के चिह्न से अंकित लाल ध्वजा लगाकर विचरण करते हैं। मतांतर से कुछ शास्त्रों में हाथी पर बैठे हुए भी बताया गया है।
कामदेव के अन्य नाम:-
'रागवृंत', 'अनंग', 'कंदर्प', 'मनमथ', 'मनसिजा', 'मदन', 'रतिकांत', 'पुष्पवान' तथा 'पुष्पधंव' आदि कामदेव के प्रसिद्ध नाम हैं। कामदेव को अर्धदेव या गंधर्व भी कहा जाता है, जो जगत मे स्वर्ग के वासियों में कामेच्छा उत्पन्न करने के लिए उत्तरदायी हैं। जिससे सृष्टि मे जन्म मृत्यु का चक्र चलता रहता है । कहीं-कहीं कामदेव को यक्ष भी कहा गया है।
*कामदेव के शस्त्र:- 'धनुष और बाण' उनका धनुष मिठास से भरे गन्ने का बना होता है जिसमें मधुमक्खियों के शहद की रस्सी लगी है। उनके धनुष का बाण अशोक के पेड़ के महकते फूलों के अलावा सफेद, नीले कमल, चमेली और आम के पेड़ पर लगने वाले फूलों से बने होते हैं।
कामदेव के पास मुख्यत: पांच प्रकार के बाण हैं। जिनके नाम इस प्रकार से है 1. मारण, 2. स्तम्भन, 3. जृम्भन, 4. शोषण, 5. उम्मादन (मन्मन्थ)।
पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार राक्षसराज तारकासुर का वध करने के लिए देवताओं की योजना के अनुसार जब भगवान शिव के पुत्र की आवश्यकता थी, तो परेशानी यह थी कि शिव के पुत्र पैदा कैसे हो ? इसके लिए भगवान शिव से कौन बात करके उन्हें राजी करे।
तब कामदेव के कहने पर ब्रह्मा जी की योजना के अनुसार बसन्त को उत्पन्न किया गया । कालिका पुराण में बसन्त को व्यक्त करते हुए कहा गया कि यह सुदर्शन, अति आकर्षक, संतुलित शरीर वाला, आकर्षक नैन-नक्श वाला, अनेक प्रकार के फूलो से सुशोभित, आम की मंजरियां को हाथो मे थामे रहने वाला, मतवाले हाथी की चाल वाला तथा समस्त गुणो से युक्त है ।
कामदेव की ऋतु भी बसंत ही है । वसंत पंचमी के दिन कामदेव की पूजा की जाती है। वसंत कामदेव का मित्र है इसलिए कामदेव का धनुष फूलों का बना हुआ है। इस धनुष की कमान स्वरविहीन होती है यानी जब कामदेव जब कमान से तीर छोड़ते हैं तो उसकी आवाज नहीं होती है।
कामदेव का एक नाम 'अनंग' है यानी बिना शरीर के ये प्राणियों में बसते हैं। एक नाम 'मार' है यानी यह इतने मारक हैं कि इनके बाणों का कोई कवच नहीं है। वसंत ऋतु को प्रेम की ही ऋतु माना जाता रहा है। इसमें फूलों के बाणों से आहत हृदय प्रेम से सराबोर हो जाता है।
भगवान शंकर ध्यान अवस्था मे समाधिस्थ थे । तभी कामदेव छोटे से जंतु का सूक्ष्म रूप लेकर कर्ण के छिद्र से भगवान शिव के शरीर में प्रवेश कर गए। इससे शिवजी का मन चंचल हो गया। उन्होंने विचार धारण कर चित्त में देखा कि कामदेव उनके शरीर में स्थित है। इतने में ही निष्फल होकर, इच्छित शरीर धारण करने की क्षमता वाले कामदेव भगवान शिव के शरीर से बाहर आ गए ।
बाहर आकर आम के वृक्ष की एक सुंदर डाली देखकर मन में क्रोध से भरा हुआ कामदेव उस पर चढ़ गये, और पुनः भगवान शिव पर वार करने के लिए, उन्होंने पुष्प धनुष पर अपने (पाँचों) बाण चढ़ाए और अत्यन्त क्रोध से (लक्ष्य भगवान शिव की ओर) तानकर तीक्ष्ण पाँच बाण छोड़े, जो शिवजी के हृदय में लगे। तब उनकी समाधि टूट गई और वे जाग गए।
भगवान शिव के मन में बहुत क्षोभ हुआ। उन्होंने आँखें खोलकर सब ओर देखा जब आम के पत्तों में (छिपे हुए) कामदेव को देखा तो उन्हें बड़ा क्रोध हुआ, जिससे तीनों लोक काँप उठे। क्रोध मे भगवान शिव ने तीसरा नेत्र खोला, उनकी दृष्टि कामदेव पर पडते ही कामदेव जलकर भस्म हो गया ।
कामदेव के भस्म होने से जगत मे हाहाकर मच गया। देवता डर गए, दैत्य सुखी हुए। भोगी लोग कामसुख को याद करके चिन्ता करने लगे और साधक योगी निष्कंटक हो गए ।
कामदेव की स्त्री रति अपने पति की यह दशा सुनते ही मूर्च्छित हो गई। रोती-चिल्लाती और भाँति-भाँति से करुणा करती हुई वह शिवजी के पास गई। अत्यन्त प्रेम के साथ अनेकों प्रकार से विनती करके हाथ जोड़ कर सामने खड़ी हो गई तदनंतर उनकी पूजा तपस्या से प्रसन्न होकर शीघ्र प्रसन्न होने वाले कृपालु शिवजी ने रति की प्रार्थना से प्रसन्न होकर कहा कि कामदेव ने मेरे मन को विचलित किया था इसलिए मैंने इन्हें भस्म कर दिया ।
अब अगर ये अनंग रूप में महाकाल वन में जाकर शिवलिंग की आराधना करेंगे तो इनका उद्धार होगा। इस प्रकार शिवजी ने उन्हें जीवनदान दे दिया था, लेकिन बगैर देह के।
तब कामदेव महाकाल वन आए और उन्होंने पूर्ण भक्तिभाव से शिवलिंग की उपासना की। उपासना के फलस्वरूप शिवजी ने प्रसन्न होकर कहा कि तुम अनंग, शरीर के बिन रहकर भी समर्थ रहोगे। *कृष्णावतार के समय तुम कृष्ण के पुत्र के रूप मे रुक्मणि के गर्भ से जन्म लोगे और तुम्हारा नाम प्रद्युम्न होगा।*
कालांतर मे शिव के वरदान स्वरुप भगवान श्रीकृष्ण और रुक्मणि को प्रद्युम्न नाम का पुत्र हुआ । ( जो कि कामदेव का ही अवतार था।)
श्रीकृष्ण से दुश्मनी के चलते राक्षस शंभरासुर, प्रद्युम्न का अपहरण करके ले गया और उसे समुद्र में फेंक आया। उस शिशु को एक मछली ने निगल लिया और वो मछली मछुआरों द्वारा पकड़ी जाने के बाद शंभरासुर के रसोई घर में ही पहुंच गई।
तब रति रसोई में काम करने वाली मायावती नाम की एक स्त्री का रूप धारण करके रसोईघर में पहुंच गई। वहां आई मछली को उसने ही काटा और उसमें से निकले बच्चे को मां के समान पाला-पोसा। जब वो बच्चा युवा हुआ तो उसे पूर्व जन्म की सारी याद दिलाई गई। इतना ही नहीं, सारी कलाएं भी सिखाईं तब प्रद्युम्न ने शंभरासुर का वध किया और फिर मायावती को ही अपनी पत्नी रूप में द्वारका ले आए।
इस प्रकार बसन्त ऋतु की उत्पत्ति हुई, और इसी बसन्त पंचमी ( बसन्त ऋतु ) मे कामदेव को भस्म हो जाने के उपरांत पुनः जीवन प्राप्त हुआ ।
कामदेव की उत्पत्ति के संबंध मे कथा
पौराणिक मान्यताओ के अनुसार कामदेव की उत्पत्ति के संबंध मे चार कथाएं प्रचलित हैं, जो कि इस प्रकार से है ।
कामदेव भगवान विष्णु और देवी लक्ष्मी के पुत्र हैं। उनका विवाह रति नाम की देवी से हुआ था, जो प्रेम और आकर्षण की देवी मानी जाती है।
एक अन्य मत के अनुसार कामदेव ब्रह्माजी के पुत्र हैं, तथा इनका संबंध भगवान शिव से भी है। कुछ शास्त्रों के अनुसार धर्म की पत्नी श्रद्धा से इनका आविर्भाव हुआ माना जाता है।
भगवान ब्रह्मा के पुत्र के रूप मे कामदेव का जन्म:-
पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार सृष्टि के सृजन की प्रक्रिया के दौरान मैथुन के द्वारा मानव जाति के प्रसार मे ब्रह्माजी के प्रयास कुछ अधिक फलीभूत नहीं हो पा रहे थे, ऐसे मे ब्रह्मा जी को "काम के देवता" के सृजन की युक्ति सूझी ।
स्मरण मात्र से ही उनके अंश से तेजस्वी पुत्र "काम" उत्पन्न हुआ और हाथ जोड़कर पूछा कि मेरे लिए क्या आज्ञा है ? तब ब्रह्माजी बोले कि मैंने सृष्टि उत्पन्न करने के लिए प्रजापतियों को उत्पन्न किया था किंतु वे सृष्टि रचना में समर्थ नहीं हुए इसलिए मैं तुम्हें इस कार्य की आज्ञा देता हूं। यह सुन कामदेव भी अन्यों की भांति वहां से विदा होकर अदृश्य हो गए ।
एक बार फिर वही वाक्या दोहराया जाते देख ब्रह्माजी अंत्यंत क्रोधित हुए और कामदेव को शाप दे दिया कि तुमने मेरा वचन नहीं माना इसलिए तुम्हारा जल्दी ही नाश हो जाएगा। शाप सुनकर कामदेव भयभीत हो गए और हाथ जोड़कर ब्रह्माजी के समक्ष क्षमा मांगने लगे।
तब कामदेव की अनुनय-विनय से ब्रह्माजी प्रसन्न हुए। उन्होंने कहा कि *मैं तुम्हें रहने के लिए बारह स्थान देता हूं- स्त्रियों के कटाक्ष, केश राशि, जंघा, वक्ष, नाभि, जंघामूल, अधर, कोयल की कूक, चांदनी, वर्षाकाल, चैत्र और वैशाख महीना। इस प्रकार कहकर ब्रह्माजी ने कामदेव को अपना कार्य करने के लिए अस्त्र के रूप मे पुष्प का धनुष और पांच बाण देकर विदा कर दिया।
( मुद्गल पुराण के अनुसार कामदेव का वास यौवन, स्त्री, सुंदर फूल, गीत, पराग कण, पक्षियों की मीठी वाणी, सुंदर बाग-बगीचों, वसंत ऋतु, चंदन, काम-वासनाओं में लिप्त मनुष्य की संगति, गुप्त अंगों मे, सुहानी और मंद हवा, रहने के सुंदर स्थान, आकर्षक वस्त्र और सुंदर आभूषण धारण किए शरीरों में रहता है। इसके अलावा कामदेव स्त्रियों के शरीर में भी वास करते हैं, खासतौर पर स्त्रियों के नयन, ललाट, भौंह और होठों पर इनका प्रभाव काफी रहता है। )
इस बार कामदेव ने कोई गलती नही की और ब्रह्माजी से मिले वरदान की सहायता से कामदेव तीनों लोकों में भ्रमण करने लगे और भूत, पिशाच, गंधर्व, यक्ष सभी को काम ने अपने वशीभूत कर लिया। फिर मछली का ध्वज लगाकर कामदेव अपनी पत्नी रति के साथ संसार के सभी प्राणियों को अपने वशीभूत करने लगे। जिससे ब्रह्माजी को संतोष हुआ
वसंत पंचमी पर "सरस्वती" तथा "कामदेव-रति" पूजन विधि
सरस्वती पूजन:-
इस दिन ना केवल विद्यार्थियों वरन सभी मनुष्यो को सुबह सूर्योदय से पूर्व उठकर स्नान आदि से निवृत होकर साफ पीले वस्त्र पहनकर, गंगाजल, दूध व दही से स्नान के बाद धूप-दीप जलाकर पीले फूल, पीले मिष्ठान अर्पण करके माँ की आराधना करनी चाहिए और उनसे विवेक, ज्ञान और सद्बुद्धि का आशीर्वाद लेना चाहिए। बसंत पंचमी के दिन सरस्वती माता के चरणों पर गुलाल चढ़ाकर देवी सरस्वती को श्वेत वस्त्र पहनाएं/अर्पण करें ।
इस दिन स्वयं पीले वस्त्र पहनकर विष्णु जी, भगवान कृष्ण तथा सरस्वती मां को भी पीले वस्त्र पहनाकर गेंहू के बालियो से पूजा करे, नैवेद्य के रूप मे पीले फल, केसर-मेवे से बनी खीर-मालपुए या मीठे चावलो का भोग लगाने से माता सरस्वती शीघ्र प्रसन्न होती है ।
कामदेव-रति पूजन विधि:-
लकडी की वेदी पर पीला कपडा बांधकर उत्तर-पूर्व दिशा की ओर स्थापित कर, एक नारियल पर लाल कपडा बांधकर उसे जलपूरित कलश के ऊपर स्थापित करके इस कलश को "कामदेव-रति" का स्वरूप मानकर पंचोपचार विधि द्वारा अबीर, चंदन, केसर के छीटे लगाकर फल-फूल इत्यादि अपिर्त कर विधिवत् पूजन करना चाहिए ।
माता सरस्वती अथवा कामदेव-रति पूजन के पूजन से पूर्व गणपति देव का पूजन अवश्य करे ।
सर्वप्रथम गणपति जी निम्नलिखित मंत्र का जाप करे:-
ॐ गं गणपतये नमः ।।
गणपति वंदना के उपरांत सरस्वती देवी की पूजा तथा मंत्र जाप करना चाहिए । निम्नलिखित मंत्र- स्तोत्रो मे से सभी या किन्हीं का भी जाप-पाठ किया जा सकता है ।
सरस्वती वंदना
या कुन्देन्दुतुषारहारधवला या शुभ्रवस्त्रावृता।
या वींणावरदण्डमण्डितकरा या श्वेतपदमासना॥
या ब्रह्माच्युतशङ्करप्रभृतिभिर्देवैः सदा वन्दिता।
सा माम पातु सरस्वती भगवती निःशेषजाड्याऽपहा॥
सरस्वती वंदना
प्रथम भारती नाम, द्वितीय च सरस्वती
तृतीय शारदा देवी, चतुर्थ हंसवाहिनी
पंचमम् जगतीख्याता, षष्ठम् वागीश्वरी तथा
सप्तमं कुमुदीप्रोक्ता, अष्ठमं ब्रह्मचारिणी

2.या देवी सर्वभूतेषु बुद्धिरुपेण संस्थिता ।

इस प्रकार ऊपरलिखित किसी भी स्तोत्र अथवा मंत्र का श्रद्धापूर्वक जाप करने से भक्तों को सरस्वती माँ की कृपा प्राप्त होती है ।

Reasons for celebrating Basant Panchami as a festival:-

Appearance and form of Mother Saraswati on Basant Panchami:-

Vasant Panchami is the birthday of Kamsakha Basant and the god of love, Kamdev.
In Hindu scriptures, Kamadeva is called the god of sex, love and attraction. According to mythology, Kamadeva is the son of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. He was married to a goddess named Rati, who is believed to be the goddess of love and attraction. According to another belief, Kamadeva is the son of Brahma, and he is also related to Lord Shiva. In some places, they are believed to have emerged from the wife of religion, Shraddha.
Form of Cupid:- In the scriptures, Kamadeva is depicted as a beautiful young man with golden wings, holding a bow and arrow in his hands. They move on a parrot's chariot with a red flag marked with the sign of Makara (a type of fish). In some scriptures it has also been told sitting on an elephant.
Other names of Kamadeva:-
The famous names of Kamadeva are 'Raagavrant', 'Anang', 'Kandarpa', 'Manmath', 'Mansija', 'Madan', 'Ratikanta', 'Pushpavan' and 'Pushpadhav'. Kamadeva is also called Ardhadev or Gandharva, who is responsible for generating libido in the heavens in the world. Due to which the cycle of birth and death continues in the universe. In some places, Kamadeva is also called Yaksha.
Kamadeva's Weapons :-* 'Bow and Arrow' His bow is made of sugarcane full of sweetness, in which the honey rope of bees is attached. The arrows of his bow are made of flowers of white, blue lotus, jasmine and mango trees, apart from the fragrant flowers of the Ashoka tree.
Cupid has mainly five types of arrows. Whose names are as follows: 1. Marana, 2. Stambhan, 3. Jrambhan, 4. Exploitation, 5. Ummadana (Manmantha).
According to the legend, when the son of Lord Shiva was needed according to the plan of the gods to kill the demon king Tarakasur, the problem was how to be born a son of Shiva? For this, who should talk to Lord Shiva and persuade him?
Then at the behest of Kamadeva, according to the plan of Brahma ji, Basant was created. Expressing Basant in Kalika Purana, it is said that he is Sudarshan, very attractive, having balanced body, having attractive Nain-map, adorned with many types of flowers, holding Manjariyan in his hands, having the gait of a drunken elephant and Contains all the qualities.
The season of Cupid is also spring. Kamdev is worshiped on the day of Vasant Panchami. Spring is the friend of Cupid, so Cupid's bow is made of flowers. The command of this bow is voiceless, that is, when Cupid releases the arrow from the command, it does not make a sound.
One of the names of Kamadeva is 'Anang' i.e. he lives in beings without a body. One name is 'Mar', that is, it is so deadly that there is no shield of its arrows. Spring has been considered as the season of love. In this, the heart hurt by the arrows of flowers becomes drenched with love.
Lord Shankar was in samadhi in a meditative state. Then Kamadeva, taking the form of a small animal, entered the body of Lord Shiva through the hole of Karna. This made Shiva's mind restless. He imbibed the thought and saw in his mind that Cupid was situated in his body. In the meantime, Kamadeva, who had the capacity to assume the desired body, came out of the body of Lord Shiva.
After coming out and seeing a beautiful branch of mango tree, Kamadeva, filled with anger in his heart, climbed on it, and to strike Lord Shiva again, he shot his (five) arrows on the flower bow and with great anger (target Lord Shiva) Towards) he fired five sharp arrows, which hit Shiva's heart. Then his samadhi was broken and he woke up.
There was a lot of anger in the mind of Lord Shiva. He opened his eyes and looked everywhere, when he saw Cupid (hidden) in the mango leaves, he got very angry, due to which the three worlds trembled. Lord Shiva opened his third eye in anger, Kamdev was burnt to ashes as soon as his eyes fell on Kamadeva.
There was an outcry in the world due to the burning of Kamadeva. The gods were scared, the demons were happy. The enjoyers started worrying after remembering the pleasure of sex and the seeker yogis became innocent.
Kamadeva's wife Rati fainted after hearing this condition of her husband. Crying and crying out, she went to Shivaji with compassion. After praying in many ways with great love, with folded hands, stood in front of her, then pleased with her worship, pleased with the austerity, Lord Shiva, who was pleased with Rati's prayer, said that Kamadeva had disturbed my mind, so I burnt her to ashes. done .
Now if they go to Mahakal forest in anang form and worship Shivling, then they will be saved. Thus Shivaji had given him life, but without a body.
Then Kamadeva came to Mahakal forest and he worshiped Shivling with full devotion. As a result of the worship, Shiva was pleased and said that you will be able to remain anang, even without a body. At the time of Krishna incarnation, you will be born as the son of Krishna from the womb of Rukmani and your name will be Pradyumna.
Later, as a boon of Shiva, Lord Krishna and Rukmani had a son named Pradyumna. (Which was an incarnation of Kamadeva.)
Due to his enmity with Krishna, the demon Shambharasura kidnapped Pradyumna and threw him into the sea. The baby was swallowed by a fish and after being caught by the fishermen, it reached the kitchen of Shambharasur.
Then Rati reached the kitchen assuming the form of a woman named Mayawati, who worked in the kitchen. He cut the fish that came there and brought up the child that came out of it like a mother. When the child was young, he was reminded of all the previous births. Not only this, but when he taught all the arts, Pradyumna killed Shambharasur and then brought Mayawati as his wife to Dwarka.
Thus the spring season was born, and in this Basant Panchami (spring season) Kamdev got a life again after being consumed.
Story about the origin of Kamadeva
According to mythological beliefs, four stories are prevalent in relation to the origin of Kamadeva, which is as follows.
Kamadeva is the son of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. He was married to a goddess named Rati, who is believed to be the goddess of love and attraction.
According to another belief, Kamadeva is the son of Brahma, and he is also related to Lord Shiva. According to some scriptures, he is believed to have emerged from the wife of religion, Shraddha.
Birth of Kamadeva as the son of Lord Brahma:-
According to mythology, during the process of creation of the universe, Brahmaji's efforts in spreading the human race through copulation were not getting much fruitful, in such a situation, Brahma ji came up with the idea of creation of "God of Kama".
From the mere remembrance of his share, a brilliant son "Kama" was born and with folded hands asked what is the order for me? Then Brahmaji said that I had created Prajapatis to create the world, but they were not capable of creating the world, so I order you to do this work. Hearing this, Kamadeva like others disappeared from there and disappeared.
Seeing the same sentence being repeated once again, Brahma ji became very angry and cursed Kamadeva that you will not obey my word, so you will soon perish. On hearing the curse, Kamadeva became frightened and with folded hands started asking for forgiveness in front of Brahma.
Then Lord Brahma was pleased with the persuasion of Kamadeva. He said that * I give you twelve places to live - women's sarcasm, hair, thigh, chest, navel, thigh mool, adhar, cuckoo's cook, moonlight, rainy season, Chaitra and Vaishakh month. Saying this way, Brahma sent Kamadeva away by giving him a bow of flowers and five arrows in the form of a weapon to do his work.
(According to the Mudgal Purana, Kamadeva's abode is youth, woman, beautiful flowers, songs, pollen grains, sweet voice of birds, beautiful gardens, spring season, sandalwood, company of man engaged in lust, in secret organs, pleasant and He resides in the bodies wearing gentle air, beautiful places of residence, attractive clothes and beautiful ornaments. Apart from this, Kamadeva also resides in the body of women, especially on women's eyes, forehead, brows and lips. )
This time Kamdev did not make any mistake and with the help of the boon from Brahmaji, Kamdev started traveling in all the three worlds and Kama subdued all the ghosts, vampires, Gandharvas, Yakshas. Then by putting on the flag of fish, Kamadeva along with his wife Rati began to subjugate all the creatures of the world. which pleased Brahma.
"Saraswati" and "Kamdev-Rati" worship method on Vasant Panchami
Saraswati Puja :-
On this day, not only students but also all human beings should get up before sunrise in the morning, after retiring from bath etc., wearing clean yellow clothes, after bathing with Gangajal, milk and curd, lighting incense-lamps and offering yellow flowers, yellow sweets should worship the mother and Blessings of wisdom, knowledge and goodwill should be taken from him. On the day of Basant Panchami, by offering gulal at the feet of Goddess Saraswati, wear white clothes to Goddess Saraswati.
On this day, wearing yellow clothes, worship Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna and Saraswati Maa by wearing yellow clothes and worship with wheat earrings, yellow fruits as naivedya, kheer-malpua made of saffron-nuts or sweet rice as offerings to Goddess Saraswati. Happy soon.
Cupid-Rati Worship Method:-
After tying a yellow cloth on a wooden altar, placing it in the north-east direction, tying a red cloth on a coconut and placing it over a water-filled urn, treating this urn as the form of "Kamdev-rati" by Panchopchar method, sprinkles of Abir, sandalwood, saffron Offering fruits and flowers, etc., should be done and worshiped properly.
Before worshiping Mata Saraswati or Kamadeva-Rati, one must worship Lord Ganpati.
First of all, Ganpati ji should chant the following mantra:-

After worshiping Ganapati, worship of Saraswati Devi and chanting of mantras should be done. All or any of the following mantra-stotras can be recited.
